Lyra hurried down the street past the Diamond Days and tried not to attract the attention of the human protesters. In this diminished form, she looked mostly human but some of the protesters weren’t too picky about who they harassed and anyone who wasn’t white-bread human enough made for a good target. She nervously patted the colorful scarf wrapped around her hair to make sure that none of the blue and green strands had escaped.
